3 things I want to try in both locations: HDR shooting, using a tripod, and getting a good shot of either a reflection or filtered light
ReplyDeleteSince I already do a lot of angle shots on my own, I'm going to work on improving my exposure technique (lighter lights, darker darks, bokeh, light in general). I haven't gotten any photos with amazing exposure yet, only decent exposure and good positioning.
this week i would like to try different types of shots of nature. Fo Vezona Park i want to get a large water reflection, also i would like to photograph different angles in a street of saratoga downtown and also take photos of random people and the way they act just naturally without knowing they are being photographed.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try some reflections in the water in the river at Vasona Park. I would also like to try and make the cars drive by and have them be still but the background be very blurry. If we go to the creek we can make the water be in slow motion and te background be very blurry. Maybe we can take pictures of people that tell a story of what they are going through. If we go to the cemetery we can do some black and white photography again.

One thing I want to establish in the downtown Saratoga shoot is mastery of HDR. I think my camera has in camera HDR settings, which will composite in the camera, so I want to test that and see how effective it is. I would like to go down to Wildwood Park, and shoot the creek, and maybe the rope structure, both of which would provide the opportunity to shoot different angles. When I reach Vasona what I hope to do is grab some fantastic landscape shots using my knowledge of HDR. Also, I still want to grab one of those amazing "tree-in-face" multiple exposure shots. I feel like Vasona would provide me with the opportunity to shoot some lake/reflection pictures as well.
ReplyDeleteFor the downtown Saratoga scene, the 3 things that I wish to try are to try black and white, HDR photography, and using various angles to take photographs. Shooting at a historic location like downtown Saratoga should be a good location to practice these shots.
ReplyDeleteFor the Vasona Lake excursion, I plan to practice HDR photography, panorama shots, and landscape shooting. I think shooting at a natural landscape is perfect for practicing these.
I really want to try experimenting with photoshop some more, and figure out how to do more with it. I do find that with my point and shoot I am a little restricted but I will see what I can do. At Vasona I would really really love to try to take people out on the lake if possible or something action about it. I would also really love to get like a reflection somehow, like off a window or something like that. Maybe even through a window just because. I do love landscape so to get a good picture of wildlife landscape. I think my main goal of this is wide and long shot, though, like my reflection, some closer shots may be done.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried HDR shooting before, and I think it would be incredibly fun to do so. While downtown and at Vasona, I will be attempting to do both, with downtown as practice, since Vasona is more much natural and colorful.
ReplyDeleteI wish to try different angles and attempt to get candid shots of people in downtown and closeups of objects, flowers, etc, basically things we don't normally notice on a daily basis. I will also try and do black and white photos.
I also want to learn how to edit with curves and levels just as we watched from that youtube tutorial. I think that's really cool, and it can take my editing abilities to a whole new level.
I want to try to shoot the street at different angles in downtown saratoga. I also want to take photos of flowers. At vasona I want to do landscape and maybe reflections would be cool to try.

In downtown saratoga I want to try taking long landscapes of shooting down a street at different angles. Some street curves at a certain angle. And maybe a doorway or people in a shop. At vasona I want to try to work with the reflections of the lake. maybe working with tall trees. And working on ,and landscapes with the lake.

ReplyDeleteAt Vasona I would like to shoot using color depending on the weather and the colors already present. If its not as colorful and it has a more of a winter lighting, I'll probably shoot in black and white. I want to attempt to work with reflection and possibly angle.

Vasona Park.
I want to try reflections in color and black and white. i will experiment a lot with the train and portraits of people.
i would also like to take pictures of animals.
this week i would like to learn (1) how to frame a shot for HDR photography, (2) how to use curves in photoshop, and (3) if I can do HDR in my compact camera. At both Vasona and Downtown, I will be shooting in color because I find b&w photos unattractive. I will take wide and panorama shots that include a background and a very wide depth of field.

At Vasona i want to take landscape shots using HDR. I think my camera has the bracketing options so i want to try and use that.
ReplyDeleteThis week I want to learn more about trying different angles for taking photos and what the difference can really be. For downtown Saratoga, I want to try different angles down the street from high and low points. I may take some black and white photos, maybe in the cafes of the people. At Vasona, I'm excited for the lake to take reflection shots in both color and black and white. I also want to take pictures of the train tracks from several different angles.

I'd like to learn how to utilize the curves on photoshop to enhance my photos from each location. And also, learn which angles make the best shots for landscape and street scenes.

I would like to shot from different angles, and learn where the lights come from, use shadow to make the photo looks interesting. Using the photoshop to make the photo have more color value. I would like to shot the people on the street from different angles.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try working with the colors and making luminous landscape photos for Vasona because it is perfect for a nature shoot and I think that the lake and the field there would look nice with the color intensity increased. At Vasona I think that wide angle shots would be the best. For downtown Saratoga would like to try and take close angle shots of strangers.
