Compare and contrast the 2 panned images to the left. Which is more successful at focus on the dominant object? What camera settings do you think are used to achieve successful panning? What advantages does the image on the bottom have that is somewhat lost on the image at the top?

the left one. motion settings are probably used for panning. the bottom picture is more colorful.
ReplyDeletethe first picture is more accurate.a fast shutter speed is required to achieve non-blurry images. Focus on the boy is lost in the bottom photo.
ReplyDeleteThe first picture was most successful at putting your eye on the most dominate figure in the picture, the bottom picture is more blurred and less focused.
ReplyDeleteif you turn the apeture settings up i think the photo will be better because it will be more clear rather than blurry. Also if you follow the person before you take the picture it will make it more focused. The image on top has mcuh less color than the image on bottom.
ReplyDeleteTomas: turning aperture up will make the picture more clear and shutter speed increase would make it even better
ReplyDeleteThe first photo has the dominant object more centered. I think you would put the camera on a high shutter speed, to catch the object moving. The bottom image has more vibrant colors, and the trees look hazier, which gives a interesting effect.
ReplyDeleteThe upper image has a better focus on the dominant object as it is clear and not blurry like the lower image is. Successful panning is probably achieved through high shutter speed so that in the instant that the photo is captured, only the background is blurry but the focused dominant object is not. Lower exposure and ISO is probably also used. The image on the bottom, although out of focus, has the benefit of displaying a greater sense of motion when compared to the upper image. The lower image also looks more intense.
ReplyDeleteThe first picture does a better job of keeping focus on the dominant object. I think this can be achieved with good exposure and a steady hand following the object of focus. The zoom is another aspect that is properly set to keep the image in focus. The bottom image also has stuff in the way of the focus, not to mention that the face is covered and the posing is a little weird.
ReplyDeleteThe image on top has the more success with focus. Although the bottom image has more vibrant color in the background than the top image does.
ReplyDeleteThe top one is more successful at focusing the distant object. a high shutter speed and a low appeture are probably used in creating this. the one on the bottom has a sense of movement.
ReplyDeleteI think the top image is technically better focused on the dominant object, but it feels kind of static. The bottom image has a sense of motion, and what looks like a slightly slower shutter speed; this leads to a much more dynamic picture overall
ReplyDeleteThe top picture was definitely the more successful picture in terms of panning. The optimal settings for this kind of photography would be low aperture, fast shutter speed.
ReplyDeletethe first imagine is more successful because the panning effect is effectively achieved. the object, in this case the little boy, its focus and the background its blurry.
ReplyDeletePanning; Tuning horizontal in a vertical axis, slow panning can also be combined with zooming in and out of an object. in fast motion, it is used to to bring out one subject/object from the frame

ReplyDeleteThe first picture is more successful at focus on the dominant object. I think you use a high aperture and movement to blur the background but keep your subject in focus. The bottom image helps emphasize the movement and of the boy, which is kind of lost in the top image.
ReplyDeletei think the first image is way more successful than the second one because it is a lot more focussed and the camera is since panning in this image is used more by bringing out one main subject in the image which shows motion, the panning effect here is more effectively achieved unlike the second image
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is more successful at focus on the dominant object. i think if you use higher shutter speed, can be more focus on the dominant object when the thing is moving.
