Tues September 3rd, question of the day

1. The wildwood park photos were pretty good, especially for first time around with shutter speed. When you look at any of these photos at 100% size in Photoshop, are they in focus? Some are not. What can you do to make sure your photos will be in focus, most of the time?

2. When shooting high shutter speed shots, are tripods useful? What about low shutter speed shots, are tripods useful? Why? Why not?

  1. You can increase the shutterspeed or make your camera in better focus and try to not wiggle the camera when you are taking the picture.
Tripods can be very useful because you wont wiggle the camera when you are taking the picture. Tripods are useful for all different types of pictures including low shutter speed pictures because you wont wiggle it at all.

  2. 1) If you need to, use a tripod of a friend's shoulder.
2)Tripods are not useful at high shutter speeds, but are very much useful when combined with a lower shutter speed.

  3. 1.)Using a faster shutter speed helps to get photos in focus.
2.) At high shutter speeds, tripods are not necessary, because not as much light is entering the camera. At lower shutter speeds, a tripod is essential to keeping shots in focus.

  4. 1. One thing you could do is zoom in or out, another thing is to use a tripod so that the pictures are more stable, thus more clear.

    2. High shutter speeds make tripods less useful, but are still worth using to keep things clear. It is because the shutter is so fast that movement is not as well seen. Though on low shutter speed, tripods are a must, because of the fact that the shutter is moving so slow that ever movement is recorded as blurriness.

  5. 1. use a high shutter speed to capture fast moving objects. It also helps if the photographer is shaky. in addition, you can use a tripod to help stabilize the shot.

    2. It's not too helpful when using high shutter speed, but with low shutter speeds, a tripod is almost vital to composing a good photo, because you dont want everything to be blurry.

  6. 1- to make sure that the photos are on focus most of the time you can increase or decrease the shutter speed and try not to move a lot or wiggle the camera while taking the pictures
2- tripods are very useful while taking pictures on the same spot for a good amount of time since it makes sure that you have a more focused picture and that the objective of the camera does not change so much from one picture to another one in which the photo is supposed to be similar but still have some small changes

  7. 1. To make sure your photos with be in focus most of the time you can set your shutter speed high. Having a tripod or using something to rest your camera on can also help with making sure your photos are in focus.
    2. Tripods are very useful, it helps stability, especially with low shutter speeds. When your camera is stable it helps your shots stay in focus.

  9. 1. What you can do to make sure that your photos are focused could be that you could use a tripod or you can zoom in or out. You can increase or decrease the shutter speed too.
    2. Tripods can be useful for both high shutter and low shutter speed shoots because they can help with the pictures stay more in focus. But when it comes to low shutter speed shoots it can be a bit harder.

  10. 1. Personally, my camera was in manual focus, so i was able to make the decision on how i wanted my picture to look, and were i wanted my focus to be.
To make the picture focus you can increase or decrease the shutter speed according to the surroundings.

    2. Yes, Tripods are super useful all the time. they stabilize the camera, they prevent the camera for movement, that we do not want, and can ruin our picture, they also help us frame the picture.

  11. 1. You can use a tripod to make sure the camera is steady. If the camera is not steady, the picture can be blurred.
    2. Tripods are very useful when shooting at high shutter speeds because you don't want the camera to be moving when the shot is taken. It is not useful when you have a low shutter speed because no matter how steady your camera is your subject might be or is moving.

  12. 1)Some cameras let you turn the lens to focus it, some automatically focus before the picture is captured.
2)Tripods can always be a useful to keep the photographs steady and clear. Either way, tripods are a useful tool but if you have a high shutter speed and your hands are shaking your pictures wont turn out as good.

  13. 1. not in focus.
    2. yes because they help you keep the camera stabilized and steady. i think they are probably helpful for both because of that reason above.

  14. 1. Focus on the object with the camera to have it in focus in the picture.

    2. Tripods are probably more useful for slow shutter speed shots because at a slower shutter speed, more movement could be captured before the shutter closes. Tripods are useful overall however and make shooting photographs easier.

  15. 1. You can make sure the camera is steady. If your hands are shaking, even slightly, then the photo may no longer be in focus. To ensure the camera is steady you could use a tripod, and then the photo will hopefully be in better focus.
    2. On a high shutter speed they are less necessary, but on a lower shutter speed they are needed to keep the camera steady

  16. 1. You can make sure the camera is steady, and change the focus until the stuff you want is in focus

    2. Tripods would be more useful for low shutter speed shots, because high shutter speed shots won't be as affected by movement

  17. Using a high shutter speed will help keep the photo in focus because it snaps an image quickly so movement won't make the photo fuzzy. When shooting high shutter speed shops, using a tripod will not be super useful because the lens closes quickly so movement does not affect the image too much. At low shutter speeds, on the other hand, the lens takes longer, so the image will be out of focus if you move the camera around, so a tripod will be very useful.

  18. Using high shutter speed and use tripods will help the photo in focus.
When shooting high shutter speeds might not need the tripods, because it is really fast shots. the tripods will be useful in low shutter speeds, because it helps not shaking the hands to keep the photo in focus.
